One of my goals for 2020, documented on my New Year’s Resolutions list, was to enter several literary award contests. With a lot of help from my marketing team at Tellwell Talent, I made a list of different contests for which my books would be eligible in regard to being self-published and in the science fiction and fantasy genres. The Reader Views Reviewers Choice Awards was top of my list, as they offered a review of each novel along with the contest application, which every author appreciates.

And I truly appreciated the reviews that were completed for both Father of Contention (reviewed by Skyler Boudreau) and Guardian of Angel (reviewed by Rachel Dehning). I’ve posted links to these reviews on my Articles, Interviews and Reviews page. After reading these wonderful reviews, I already felt like a winner. But, more good news was on the way.

I actually won…not one, but two awards!

I’m thrilled to announce that I won the regional award for Best SciFi Book of the Year in the Canada East Region, and second place in the Science Fiction genre category.  Both awards were for my second novel, Guardian of Angel.

Thank you to the Reader Views Reviewers Choice Awards, and to all the judges and reviewers for giving me these awards! I feel so blessed and honoured and like I am finally a real, official writer. And I have a seal to place on my book to prove it!

That’s my news for now. Stay safe, stay healthy, and keep reading!
